Snow-9 probably comprises the majority of proof Flying Eagle cents, and is popular for its well defined motifs and moderately reflective fields. The present near-Gem also features attractive dusky orange toning, and is limited in grade only by a few wispy hairlines on the obverse exergue. The 1856 is the first and lowest mintage date of the entire small cent denomination, and has immense historical significance, since it launched the first coin collecting boom in America. Encased in a green label PCGS holder.
