1856 1C PR63 PCGS. Snow-9. This beautiful specimen has a razor-sharp strike and smooth, moderately mirrored fields. The rich apricot centers are framed by sea-green borders. All the Snow-9 diagnostics are present: a slender vertical die crack beneath the beak, a broken horizontal die line from the I in UNITED into the wing, and a diagonal die line through the U in UNITED. The reverse has the tiny die gouge from the edge of the left wreath stem. A splendid opportunity to secure a high quality example of this legendary issue, which ranks #23 in the 2003 edition of Jeff Garrett and Ron Guth's 100 Greatest U.S. Coins.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
