<B>1856 1C PR63 PCGS.</B></I> Snow-9. A classic example of the S-9 variety with the die scratch extending clearly through the U in UNITED to the eagle's beak, the die crack at 11:30 on the reverse, and the tiny die gouge at the end of the left ribbon on the lower reverse. A boldly struck specimen that reveals honey-gold, rose, and mauve colors when the piece is rotated under a light. A few wispy marks are appropriate for the grade.
