<B>1855-O G$1 MS62 PCGS.</B></I> While the 1854 and 1855 P-mint issues are the ones type collectors turn to, the 1855-O is the most common of the mintmarked pieces, if such is desired for a type set. Garrett and Guth, however, point out that its mintage is less than one-tenth of the P-mints, and that it becomes much rarer in the higher states of preservation. This piece boasts flashy yellow-gold surfaces that contrast with glints of hazel-gray on each side and, unlike many examples of this issue, no die clash marks are seen on either side.
