A Colt 3rd Model Dragoon, along with original period holster, belt, cartridge pouch and Civil War Officer's buckle was found in Mora County, New Mexico. Serial # 14812, Circa: 1855. It is historically reported it was worn by a member of the ''California Column'' which was made up of volunteers after the Civil War and guarded the southwest and the west for the Union. The cylinder appears to be a ''restamp'' as a replacement during it's time of use, which was very common with these big .44 calibre Colt pistols. Action is very tight with good lockup. No finish remains and the wear is consistent with age and historical use. An original and rare outfit from the American frontier. Payment by wire transfer only. Buyers Pay Actual Shipping and Handling Charges(see terms and conditions for more information).
