A Colt 3rd Model Dragoon, along with original period holster, belt, cartridge pouch and Civil War Officer's buckle was found in Mora County, New Mexico. Serial # 14812, Circa: 1855. It is historically reported it was worn by a member of the ''California Column'' which was made up of volunteers after the Civil War and guarded the southwest and the west for the Union. The cylinder appears to be a ''restamp'' as a replacement during it's time of use, which was very common with these big .44 calibre Colt pistols. Action is very tight with good lockup. No finish remains and the wear is consistent with age and historical use. An original and rare outfit from the American frontier. Payment by wire transfer only. Items not paid for upon the non pay warning, will be relisted for resale within 10 days. You represent that you are over the age of 21 and can enter into legal contracts.

In the event of a tie between bidders, the auctioneer shall have the sole and final discretion either to determine the successful bidder or to re-offer and resell the article in dispute.
