According to Blythe's <I>Complete Guide to Liberty Seated Half Dimes, </B></I>this variety is known for its soft strike on Liberty's head and the lower shield, as here. But despite the ancient remains of an old fingerprint that has resolved into the russet and aqua toning, this piece has excellent eye appeal, a combination of the considerable luster that remains, the lovely patination, and the relative paucity of mentionable impairments.
