<B>1855 G$1 MS65 PCGS.</B></I> Several hundred 1855 gold dollars have been certified by PCGS and NGC through MS64. A significant drop in the population occurs at the Gem and finer levels of preservation, where fewer than 100 coins have been seen. This fabulous MS65 specimen displays outstanding luster and a mix of yellow-gold, mint-green, and light tan coloration. The design features are well brought up, except for minor softness in the top of the 8, which is typical for the issue. Well preserved surfaces exhibit light clash marks on each side.
