<B>1855 G$1 MS61 PCGS.</B></I> The 1854 and 1855 dates are popular for type sets to represent the elusive Type Two gold dollar variety. The surfaces alternate green in the open fields with orange tints in the protected areas around the periphery. Some faded clash marks are noted on each side, and the 5 in the date shows some of the expected weakness. While the moderate patina somewhat subdues the luster, there are few visible abrasions or other surface impairments noted, and the overall effect is pleasing.
