<B>1855-C G$1 AU58 NGC.</B></I> Variety 9-K. Although only one variety was recorded in the literature, two different reverse dies are actually known. This example has the final 5 centered below A in DOLLAR. The other variety has the digit 5 right of center below the A. It is not known which variety might be scarcer. This is an important opportunity for the advanced collector or type collector to acquire the only Charlotte Mint Type Two gold dollar. It is typical of all its peers, with some blending of detail near Liberty's ear. Considerable luster remains visible with bright greenish-gold coloration. Moderate to heavy clash marks are visible on both sides.
