<B>1855 $50 Kellogg & Co. Fifty Dollar Restrike Gem Proof PCGS.</B></I> This relic medal was struck on September 12, 2001. The proof mintage for that date was 587 pieces. September 12 was the final day of production for this interesting private relic medal, as it was the 144th anniversary of the sinking of the <I>S.S. Central America</B></I>. Struck at the Presidio using bullion from ingots recovered from the S.S. Central America. As made, although a pair of trivial obverse lintmarks are present at 6 o'clock and 6:30. The frame and presentation box of issue is included, along with a Certificate of Authenticity.
