<B>1855 $50 Kellogg & Co. Fifty Dollar Restrike Gem Proof PCGS.</B></I> This relic medal was struck September 3, 2001, as indicated by the counterstamp beneath the scroll. The proof mintage on that date was 487 pieces. The medal contains nearly 2.5 ounces of gold, which was taken from melted-down Kellogg & Humbert ingots recovered from the <I>S.S. Central America</B></I>. Flawless aside from a brief lintmark beneath Liberty's chin.
