<B>1855<$3> MS62 PCGS.</B></I> Mintage of the 1855 issue was left than half of the 1854 Philadelphia issue, and while the San Francisco Mint produced a smattering of pieces, neither the New Orleans nor Dahlonega mints participated. This example offers enticing apricot-gold surfaces that reveal tiny light abrasions under a loupe, none distracting or easily visible save for a small tick on Liberty's chin and one beneath the bowknot. Appealing for the grade, this coin also shows a decent if less than full strike. Census: 57 in 62, 61 finer (9/06).
