<B>1855 25C Arrows MS66 PCGS.</B></I> For the slightly more than 2.8 million coins of this issue struck, Briggs writes that 26 obverses and 20 reverses were readied, leading to wide variance in strike quality. The present example is a well struck piece with superb luster, leading to its Premium Gem grade assessment. Briggs notes further that the 1855 Arrows issue is "very common in grades G-VF, although scarce in XF/AU and very scarce in UNC." The present specimen is one of two pieces so graded at PCGS, with three coins graded finer at NGC (3/07).
