<B>1855 1C Upright 5s MS67 Brown NGC.</B></I> N-4, R.1. A pair of die lumps show below Liberty's earlobe and a pair of faint die lines are within the N in CENT, these being used to confirm the Newcomb variety. Although designated as Brown, there is a considerable amount of orange-red luster on each side. An attentive strike brings out bold detail on the design elements, with only a few star centers showing softness. Both faces are impeccably preserved, further enhancing the coin's outstanding eye appeal. EAC 63.
