<B>1854-O $3 AU55 NGC.</B></I> The 1854-O three dollar pieces were placed into circulation soon after they were struck (David Bowers and Douglas Winter, 2005). Most of the certified population is in the XF to AU grade range, while Mint State coins are elusive. Apricot-gold patina enriches both sides pf this Choice AU specimen, and the design elements reveal good detail, except for weakness in the 85 of the date.
