Highly lustrous mint red fading to steel brown, about two-thirds of the mellowed mint color remaining on both sides. The surfaces are frosty and this cent has outstanding eye appeal. Looks flawless to the unaided eye but a glass reveals a light vertical nick on the lower left loop of the 8 and a faint struck-through line (caused by a tiny piece of thread or wire on the die) on the front edge of the coronet. M-LDS, die state b late. The fields are covered with fine radial die flowlines and a flowline connects the right base of the 4 to a dentil below. The details at the ear are sharply struck, another big plus for this variety. Our grade is MS65, CC#1 in the Grellman census. The attribution is noted on the NGC label. AUCTION TERMS OF SALE
1. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the buyer. In case of dispute the auctioneer may at his sole discretion reopen a lot. In all cases the auctioneer’s decision shall be final and binding on bidders.
2. The auctioneer reserves the right to refuse to honor any bid which, at his sole discretion, he feels is not submitted in good faith. The auctioneer may withdraw any lot, without prior notice, for any reason whatsoever.
3. All sales are payable in U. S. funds immediately upon receipt of invoice unless other arrangements have been made prior to the sale. Lots will not be released to buyers until paid for in full. Lots delivered in state of sale are subject to all applicable state and local taxes unless appropriate permits are on file with us.
4. Postage will be added to the invoice of all successful mail bidders.
5. A 20% buyer’s fee will be added to all invoices.
6. Please keep in mind this is not an approval sale. All sales are considered final. Sales to the floor may not be returned for any reason save authenticity. Sales to mail bidders are final unless lot proves to have been mis-described.
7. Lots will be available for viewing during the Houston Money Show bourse hours January 17, 2020 and by appointment.

Lots will open at one increment above second highest mail/phone bidder.
