<B>1854 H10C Arrows MS67 NGC.</B></I> In 1854, rays were removed from the reverses of the quarter and half dollar. They were already absent from the half dime and dime, which makes the Arrows design a three-year type for those two denominations. As is the case with the dime, Arrows mintages began at then-record levels in 1853, but dropped each year thereafter.<BR> The present semi-prooflike Superb Gem is essentially brilliant, although the obverse has a hint of gold toning. Sharply struck on the major devices, stars, and legends, although the dentils are generally soft. Virtually pristine save for minor contact above the A in HALF.
