<B>1854 G$1 MS64 NGC.</B></I> The relatively small quantity of Mint State pieces of this issue are most often limited in grade by striking deficiencies, certainly not the case with this sharply detailed example. The luster and overall surfaces of this piece are truly impressive. The fields are nearly mark-free, the only ripple in the fabric of the piece being moderate die clashing, as seen on almost every Type Two gold dollar known. Both sides exhibit a fresh, original, highly lustrous appearance.
