<B>1854-C $5 AU55 PCGS.</B></I> Variety 22-I. The "Weak mintmark" variety with a completely formed but faint mintmark. The mintmark was lightly entered into the working die, and all Charlotte half eagles struck with this reverse die have this characteristic. An unabraded Choice AU example with ample luster. The strike is soft on the claws, fletchings, and forehead curls, as usual for the issue.
