1854-C $2 1/2 MS61 NGC. Variety 15-I. Well struck for the issue, with typical softness noted on the eagle's neck and lower parts. The luster is somewhat muted, but faint semi-prooflikeness is observed in the fields. Only superficial marks exist on either side of the coin. According to Garrett and Guth (2006): "The 1854-C Liberty Head quarter eagle is a scarce and popular coin in all grades. Most of the coins offered are well circulated, and Mint State examples are very rare. Coins of this date are frequently found to have been harshly cleaned or damaged. A pleasing 1854-C quarter eagle is quite the prize." Census: 5 in 61, 7 finer (11/06).

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
