<B>1854-C $2 1/2 AU50 NGC.</B></I> Variety 15-I. No quarter eagles were struck at Charlotte in 1853, but the production of the denomination resumed in 1854. Only 7,295 pieces were struck, and survivors are very scarce. This yellow-gold representative is unabraded aside from minor marks on Liberty's forehead and jaw.
