<B>1854 50C Arrows MS64 PCGS.</B></I> High mintages of Arrows Seated coins continued in 1854. Nearly 3 million pieces were struck in Philadelphia, but these went into circulation, and probably fewer than 200 Mint State pieces survive. These are made more important by the brief production of the Arrows, No Rays type, struck in 1854 and 1855 only. This golden-brown and green-gray near-Gem is boldly impressed and delightfully smooth. Only the slightly subdued cartwheel shimmer limits the grade.
