<B>1854 50C Arrows MS64 NGC.</B></I> Wiley and Bugert state that "The dies of this date are not usually found heavily cracked." That does not describe the state of the dies used to strike this coin. It is extensively cracked on the obverse, with only the finest crack through the upper legend on the reverse. The luster on this piece is superlative. It is bright and frosted and rolls around the surfaces as the coin is tilted beneath a light. Brilliant throughout and fully struck, the only mentionable surface flaw is Mint-made, an angling grease stain on the right side of the eagle.
