<B>1854 3CS MS65 PCGS.</B></I> This year saw the debut of the Type Two three cent silver design, with a triple border around the obverse star, and an increase in the coin's silver content from 75% to 90%. This piece is well struck with bright satiny luster and several different shades of light, speckled patina on each side. Three faint peripheral die cracks are noted on the obverse, but surface blemishes or distractions are absent.
