<B>1854 $3 MS63 PCGS.</B></I> Widely set aside as the first year of this unusual type. Uncirculated coins are available but rarely available in MS63 or better condition. Even though it is considered a "common" coin, the 1854 is immensely popular with collectors as the first year of issue. It is also unusual to find gold coins, especially three dollar gold pieces, from the 1850s in mint condition. This is an especially attractive example that displays rich mint frost and even reddish patina. Well struck throughout.
