<B>1853 S$1 Restrike PR63 ANACS.</B></I> Among early proof Seated dollars, 1853 represents one of the highest levels of rarity. Faint diagonal die lines are visible throughout the exergual area at the bottom of the obverse, above and within the date elements. Even fainter die polishing lines are visible elsewhere in the obverse fields. Additional raised striae can be seen in the upper reverse field. The bottom of the left most element in the fourth vertical stripe does not quite reach the shield border. These and other characteristics are visible on this example, and are generally considered to be attribution points for proof examples. Without exception, every vertical line in each of the six shield stripes extend beyond the lowest horizontal crossbar, some as far as the fourth crossbar. Myriad diagonal die lines can be seen in the white spaces between the vertical stripes. Faint clash marks are evident in the right obverse field, below Liberty's left forearm. Both sides have full reflectivity in the fields with a few faint hairlines that limit the grade.
