<B>1853 G$1 MS66 PCGS.</B></I> A frosty, thoroughly pleasing, and pretty Premium Gem of this available date, save for one complaint, a straight, hair-thin scrape that runs from the rim near 9 o'clock, through Liberty's lower neck and back to the rim at 5:30. While not readily visible without a loupe, it certainly appears to be a post-strike scrape, without which this wonderful piece might have graded MS67. Boldly struck throughout, and with enormous appeal despite the small distraction. Population: 24 in 66, 11 finer (3/08).<BR><BR><B>Coin Engraver:</B> James B.
