<B>1853 G$1 MS65 PCGS.</B></I> The 1853 is perfect for type purposes, as the issue "...is by far the most common United States gold dollar" (Jeff Garrett and Ron Guth, 2006). It is readily available through near-Gem condition, but becomes somewhat more challenging any finer. Gorgeous peach-gold surfaces display excellent luster and a satiny finish, and are devoid of significant marks.
