1853 Similar obverse with crisscross die file marks on neck; same reverse die, much the worse for wear. A signed Deriberpie product. Extremely Rare: only 9 examples recorded in Breen-Gillio (one of which was stolen and never recovered), probably with some duplication, and none reported since. Plate Coin, first edition, Breen-Gillio, California Pioneer Fractional Gold. Brilliant obverse, much mint luster, evidence of repairs to OLLA and 5 on reverse (removed from stickpin?). PCGS Genuine (Ex-Jewelry -- UNC Details). Ex Superior Father Flanagan 5/29/1990, Lot 5330, ex Superior Lee and Shaffer Collections 9/25/1988, Lot 97, ex Lee Collection. Only one coin graded by PCGS in any condition. Serial# 26897442 Totheroh Collection HKA#63625
