<B>1853-D $5 Large D AU58 NGC.</B></I> Variety 29-T. On this reverse, the D is high and left, with the upright over the center of V in FIVE. Ample luster resides in the recesses of this yellow-gold AU58 specimen. Much better struck than the majority of this issue that according to Douglas Winter (2003): " ... are softly struck with weak borders." Relatively clean surfaces round out the coin's eye appeal.
