A lightly worn representative of this popular, comparatively available Charlotte issue, well-defined save for softness at the hair to the right of Liberty's eye and the eagle's claws. The softly lustrous yellow-orange surfaces have deeper color near the margins. Though the fields and devices display scattered abrasions, like many examples of later Charlotte gold, the overall effect is less distracting than on most pieces.
