<B>1853 50C Peacock Reverse 50 Cents, BG-302, Low R.4, AU58 PCGS.</B></I> The Peacock reverse is one of the most famous fractional gold designs, since it stands out from the usual parade of wreaths that simulate the Federal gold dollar. The devices show scant evidence of wear, although the fields are slightly subdued. The obverse is rich ruby-red with hints of yellow-gold.
