<B>1853 50C Arrows and Rays MS64 NGC.</B></I> Always in demand for type purposes, the 1853 Arrows and Rays half dollar is not as common in the finer Mint State grades as the original mintage of 3.5 million coins might suggest. Apparently, most examples were placed into circulation. This is a moderately toned representative with a typically strong strike for the type, save for minor softness on the two uppermost star centers. The frosty surfaces are devoid of singularly mentionable abrasions. Some notable die clashing is seen on each side.
