1853 50C Arrows and Rays MS63 PCGS. The introduction of arrows and rays to signify the reduction in silver content also created new stress points on each die. In the case of the obverse, the arrowhead points, located so close to the rim, created new peripheral challenges, and many examples of this available issue show die cracks near the date, as does the present piece. Light cracks show on each side through and near the arrowheads, date, and the rim nearby. Old clash marks also show on each side, again typical. The piece is brilliant silver-white, with a few undistracting, grade-consistent abrasions.

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
