1852 N-23 R6- MS62+. Highly lustrous and very attractive dark bluish steel brown with faded mint color remaining on 15% of both sides. No spots or stains, and not cleaned as claimed by NCS. Very close to choice with only a few trivial contact marks, including a pair of tiny parallel diagonal nicks in the field left of star 11 and a very tiny rim nick over the left side of the F in OF. LDS, die state b, with a strong rim cud break at the bottom of the reverse. Tied for CC#2 overall and equal to the second finest among a couple dozen with the single reverse rim cud. Removed from an NCS slab graded Uncirculated details improperly cleaned (NCS label included, and it shows the attribution and Reiver provenance). DWH #3010.
