1852 N-18 R3 MS64.
1852 N-18 R3 MS64. Highly lustrous mint red with blue steel toning covering the highpoints, nearly half the red remaining. A tiny, very light curved struck-through line under star 13 is the only notable defect, as struck. The reverse is flawless. Sharply struck E-MDS, die state a. The dash at the dentils under the upright of the 1 is clear (most likely part of a misplaced 1), and the fields are covered with satiny luster thanks to microscopic die flowlines. Finest known by a small margin in the Grellman census. Removed from a PCGS slab graded MS64RB (PCGS label included). DWH #2265.
Estimated Value $600-UP.
