<B>1852-C $5 AU50 NGC.</B></I> Variety 18-H. The 1 in the date is nearly merged with the bust. Though the 1852-C is one of the more available half eagles from Charlotte, finding attractive pieces with an aura of originality becomes harder with time. The lightly circulated example offered here has dusky orange-gold surfaces with luminous peripheries. The fields show a few scattered abrasions and the central devices exhibit typical softness, but the coin retains excellent overall visual appeal.
