<B>1852-C $2 1/2 AU58 NGC.</B></I> Variety 14-I. A delightfully clean and attractive piece, one that actually appears more like a P-mint than the incredibly rare C-mint issue that it is. Abundant luster emanates from both sides of this pretty yellow-gold specimen, and only under a loupe do a few small pinscratches appear in the right (facing) obverse field. While the central strike is typical, there is little wear noted, and there are no other mentionable distractions. Relatively few pieces are known in AU, and Mint State examples are quite rare. This high-end AU piece is definitely worthy of some serious specialist consideration.
