1852 $5 MS62 PCGS. The mintage of nearly 574,000 pieces in 1852 is one of the highest for the Liberty Head No Motto type five dollar. While the date is fairly common in circulated grades, Jeff Garrett and Ron Guth (2006) say "Mint State coins are scarce, and there are probably fewer than 150 pieces known at that level." Soft luster emanates from the green-gold surfaces of this MS62 specimen. Sharply struck, and showing just a few minute handling marks. Population: 50 in 62, 31 finer (8/07).

Coin Engraver: Christian Gobrecht

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
