1852 $10 Assay Office Ten Dollar AU53 PCGS. Ex: S.S. Central America. SSCA 7252. Most of the coins recovered from the S.S. Central America were 1856-S and 1857-S double eagles. This is one of the few private territorial coins found in the wreckage. Assay tens and twenties were widely available in California in the 1850s and used extensively as circulating medium prior to the opening of the U.S. mint in 1854. This coin has subdued yellow-gold surfaces with numerous small, but individually insignificant abrasions (mostly on the obverse). Accompanied by all the packaging from the California Gold Marketing Group.

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
