The last 1 in the date is noticeably lower at both top and bottom than the adjacent 5. Thin die cracks travel from the inner point of star 13 to the drapery above the sandal, and more faintly from the sandal to the rim nearby. On the reverse bold clash marks show within the vertical shield stripes. This lustrous, unabraded, well struck piece has deep golden and amber patina on both sides, with excellent eye appeal. Population: 2 in 65, 1 finer (9/06).
