1851 N-19 R3 Second 1 Repunched, PCGS graded MS65 BrownBeautiful lustrous light olive and steel brown. Choice except for some specks of dark olive toning sprinkled over the obverse. Most of the spots are invisible to the unaided eye but the one at the brow lock and another under the earlobe are visible, and they contain traces of carbon. The overall eye appeal of this cent is still quite nice. LDS, die state e. The repunching on the second 1 is gone and numerous die cracks cover the obverse. The cracks are strong on this example including the final one from the coronet to the dentils over star 7. Our grade is MS62, tied for CC#9 in the Grellman census. Comes with a nice provenance. The attribution and Naftzger Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label.Certificate Number: 406704.65/18900428Pedigree: Ex Willard C. Blaisdell 9/1976 (via Del Bland)-R. E.
