<B>1851 G$1 MS67 PCGS.</B></I> This is one of the most beautiful gold dollars that could possibly exist. Both sides have brilliant and frosty pinkish-gold color and all of the design elements are absolutely full. Close examination reveals a complete absence of any surface marks on either side of this nearly perfect piece. A small area of satiny luster is visible at the top of the obverse, and elsewhere the surfaces have full luster cartwheels. Remarkably, two other examples of this date have actually received a higher numerical grade from PCGS, although we can't imagine that either of those are more attractive than this coin.
