<B>1851-D G$1 MS62 NGC.</B></I> Variety 3-E. Faint recutting shows on the base of the 1 in the date. The surfaces are lustrous amber-gold. This piece appears to be from a late state of the reverse die: There is considerable flatness on LA and the 5 in the date, and the R in DOLLAR shows some crumbling on its right foot. The berries to the right of T in UNITED and R in DOLLAR join those letters, or virtually so.
