<B>1851-C G$1 AU58 PCGS.</B></I> Variety 5-E. The date is slightly farther from the wreath bow, and the mintmark is farther from the bowknot, than respectively on the Variety 4-D. The surfaces are fairly well struck, and only light rub visits the highpoints, as expected for the grade, with a scattering of abrasions. While this is the most common C-mint gold dollar, any C-mint gold coin is under intense pressure.
