<B>1851 10C MS64 PCGS.</B></I> Despite the mintage of more than 1 million coins, the 1851 dime is difficult to locate, especially in the higher circulated grades and in Mint State. Like other silver coins of this era, many were likely melted during the early 1850s due to the increased price of the metal. This near-Gem displays a thin coat of lilac and aqua-blue color over soft luster, along with sharply struck design elements. A few minute handling marks are noted on each side.
