<B>1850 P3CS Three Cent Silver, Judd-125 Original, Pollock-147, R.4, PR63 PCGS.</B></I> On the obverse, a glory of rays surrounds a cap inscribed LIBERTY, with the date below. On the reverse, a palm branch encircles the denomination III with the legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA around. Struck in silver with a plain edge. The obverse was originally designed by Christian Gobrecht for the 1836 gold dollar, and this later variant was executed by Franklin Peale from designs by Longacre. This is a lovely example that transcends the PR63 grade. The fields are bright with mirror-like reflectivity.
