<B>1850-O $2 1/2 MS61 NGC.</B></I> One of the major characteristics of the 1850-O quarter eagle is the extremely poor quality of the strike (Jeff Garrett and Ron Guth, 2006). The coin in the present lot is an exception; it is well impressed on all of the design elements, except for softness on the eagle's neck. Some faint hairlines in the fields show up under high magnification. Rare in Mint State.
