<B>1850-C<$5> AU53 NGC.</B></I> Variety 15-F. This is an important late die state with a prominent retained cud on the lower reverse border, joining FI in FIVE. On this reverse die, the mintmark is positioned left of center, over the left top of the letter V. The surfaces have light, grade-consistent abrasions with pale green-gold color and splashes of pale rose toning.
