<B>1850-C $2 1/2 XF45 ANACS.</B></I> Variety 12-H. Two reverse dies were employed in the production of this Charlotte Mint quarter eagle issue. This variety shows a slightly larger mintmark than the so-called 12-G; and the mintmark on this variety is nearly centered above the diagonal fraction bar of 1/2. This piece is modestly worn with a few faint hairlines in the fields. Pale greenish coloration yields to copper-orange accents near the devices.
